There are around 200 species of woodpecker, each with eight toes, four on each foot. These are known as zygodactyl feet. But is the Ivory-billed Woodpecker extinct?

- Credenza: originally, this meant 'belief' in Italian. Being involved in credenza meant that the individual tested by tasting potentially poisoned food, for another person. This act then leant the name credenza to the room in which this took place: eventually the furniture took up the definition 'credenza'.
