Aquarium





In 1836, Dr. Nathaniel Bagshaw Ward (inventor of the Wardian Case) proposed to use his tanks for tropical animals. By 1841, with aquatic plants and toy fish, he did so, but was preceded by Félix Dujardini in 1838 who developed a saltwater aquarium.
