Not Genetically Programmed
Van Credenza utilise basic instruments, bass, guitar and drums on this tune, plus a wind guitar, an unusual experimental virtual instrument first tested in Scotland: it is a thermo-acoustically controlled harmonic type generator.

Theme from the Monster Cult Mystery
The Monster Cult Mystery was a planned series based on a serpent-like Mayan god named Itzamna, or 'I', which is called upon to modern-day Chicago by a mysterious cult, this way back in 1973.
Roosting within the top of the Willis Tower (at the time Sears Tower), this awesome fiend begins drizzling blood -- from the bodies of window washers, building workers and rooftop sunbathers alike -- onto the streets of Chicago, with devastating consequences.
The pilot received highly negative reviews when it was shown via private cinema release thus was binned but through leaked tapes has gained a cult following over the years.

Kraftwerk visit Fife

Red Light (Change to Black)
++++++++++
Originally released to little acclaim in 1967, Van Credenza slipped into character with a near faithful cover of this number, the Studer J37, a four-track tape recorder, being employed via AKG D19 dynamic microphones.
++++++++++
And of course, the band dressed from that period to capture the atmosphere, while feasting on Old English Spangles and smoking Sweet Tobacco.

Let's Spend The
Here, Van Credenza teams up with Kentucky Firewalker James Artist to undertake shamanistic rituals, spiritual events and Cherokee bodywork (3000-year-old Cherokee medicine).
Medicine Man James involves us with rolling thunder, as clouds fall from the sky and the waves sail backwards.
At The Foot Of The Mountain, in The Middle Of The Forest, lies The Great Rock.

undead
Van Credenza has been travelling.
'Un-dead' was Bram Stoker's original choice for his novel Dracula.
Undead are deceased, but appear to be alive.

A New Colour
Van Credenza has been working on a new colour. Skilled watercolourists claimed it couldn’t be done, those expressing themselves through a variety of media also expressed doubt re Van Credenza’s endeavour.
You can now see and hear for yourself: watch without prejudice, listen out, for a new colour is here for all to muse.

Rehabilitation Mortuary Part 1
Rehabilitation Mortuary Part 1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This happened around 100 years ago.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A mortuary existed where recently departed would be taken, more in hope than expectation of another chance at living. Only for the wealthy and/or unprejudiced, the Rehabilitation Mortuary showed a low percentage rate of success, but for the dead, it was a chance worth taking.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two world wars, and a superfluity of progress clouded the existence of this second chance phenomenon: now, Van Credenza remind everyone of the opportunity.
Boneshaker
A tune devised during a 4 day advocaat fused binge session at the start of 2011, Boneshaker was performed by a slimmed down version of Van Credenza, Charlotte Dundas having now left the band by mutual consent (of the remaining members).
Hot Stix received several steampunk novels for his Christmas, which were a major influence on his percussive contribution, also leading to the chosen title, ‘Boneshaker’. Stix’ boneshaker is large, coal powered transportation vehicle.
As for the remaining instrumentation, band members swapped implements superficially in experimentation: reality is the advocaat induced haze had more effect on these exchanges than might be admitted.
Originally, advocaat was made from avocados.
Besuch in Berlin
(English translation below film)
Van Credenza has been in Berlin, this song representing their visit. Recent addition to the band Biscuit claims to be multilingual, and he has contributed the German lyrics to this number, under trust from the rest of the band who are more adroit at disciplines other than languages. All were impressed with the German capital city, which was an influence on the song and video here, the frenzied atmosphere in some quarters contrasting the calm character of others. While visiting, various members attempted to visit the homes of Hertha, Union, BFC and Tennis, major city soccer clubs. A fantastic visit culminated in the construction of this song, ‘Besuch in Berlin’, and the accompanying film.
Human Memory Download
Some time in the near future, scientists will be able to take reminiscences from a human brain and store them digitally, for others to experience. This is likely to be a long and painful process for the memory supplier, yet it may have logical benefits for that person.
Sufferers of Alzheimer's disease could have their brain reseeded, or the patient which has undergone trauma resulting in loss of memory could be given a jolt from their past. Dementia is the loss of cognitive functioning—thinking, remembering, and reasoning—to such an extent that it interferes with a person’s daily life and activities: yet these persons too could be helped by taking part in human memory download in advance of the onset of such an illness.
This piece reflects an important medical development: it is also a long and painful process.
Back to Nature
Infrared heater, just like home
Glucose filled, and programmed to respond
One of Frank Tovey's first musical instruments was a Grundig reel to reel tape recorder, and although he couldn't master any instrument at a competent level, Mute Records signed him up as their first recording artist in 1979.
Back to Nature was his first single, as Fad Gadget.
